The missing “C” stands for “Cybersecurity”

I saw this footer on the front page of the February 18th issue of the BismarCk Tribune. This is a little embarassing…omitting the “c” in Bismarck? It’s literally in the name of the newspaper, after all. But ya gotta cut ’em a little slack, I suppose…

The “Bismark Tribune” was recently hit by a ‘cybersecurity event’, according to recent articles by the paper explaining the interruptions on certain services. Although I’d heard that layout of the newspaper isn’t even done here in Bismark anymore; if that’s the case, I suppose it’s one of those things we count as forgivable when done by outsiders.

I took this photo when I was at the Camp Hancock historic site back in 2009. See? It happens. Of course, that ticket was printed a hundred years ago. People should have grown accustomed to the name – and spelling – by now…
